Privacy policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026. This policy takes effect on that date.

Beamford (beamford.com) is operated by Black Shores LLC, a Michigan limited liability company. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our store, our emails and our customer support. It also explains how we use that information and who we share it with. "Beamford", "we" and "us" mean Black Shores LLC. We ship only to addresses in the United States. You can reach us at support@beamford.com.

Information we collect

  • Order details:
    • your name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses;
    • the items you order;
    • payment and delivery status.
  • Payment details. You enter your card or other payment details on checkout pages provided by Shopify, and our payment processors handle them. We do not receive your full card number. We may see limited details, such as the card type and its last four digits.
  • Messages and claims. When you contact us, we keep your email address or phone number, your messages and voicemails, and any photos or videos you send, for example to show a damaged item or the condition of an item you return.
  • Refund details. If we can't refund your original payment method, we ask for the details needed to refund you another way, such as an address for a check, and use them only for that refund.
  • Email sign-up. If you sign up for our emails, we keep your email address and the date you signed up.
  • Customer account. If you use a customer account, we keep your sign-in email, saved addresses and order history.
  • Device and usage information. When you visit our store, Shopify automatically collects information using cookies and similar technologies. This includes:
    • your IP address, browser and device type;
    • your approximate location, based on your IP address;
    • the pages you view and the items you add to your cart;
    • the website that sent you to us.

We collect this information in three ways:

  • from you;
  • from your browser or device;
  • from the services that run our store and deliver orders. For example, payment processors send us payment status and carriers send tracking updates.

How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • process, ship and deliver your order, and send you order and shipping updates;
  • answer your questions and handle claims, replacements, refunds and cancellations;
  • take payment and prevent fraud;
  • keep the store working, for example by remembering your cart;
  • understand how the store is used so that we can improve it;
  • send you marketing emails, if you signed up for them;
  • when we advertise, show our ads, including to people who have visited our store, and measure how they perform (see "Advertising and analytics");
  • keep business records and comply with the law, including tax law.

Who we share it with

We share personal information as described below, for the purposes above. Shopify, our payment processors, the installment lenders and, when we use them, Google and AI shopping assistants also use some of it for their own purposes, under their own privacy policies:

  • Shopify hosts our store. It also provides checkout, customer accounts and our email sign-up form, and it sends our marketing emails.
  • Payment processors take payment and issue refunds. We use Shopify Payments, including Shop Pay if you use it.
  • Installment lenders. If you choose Shop Pay Installments at checkout, Affirm, which powers Shop Pay Installments, and its lending partners receive the details needed to check your eligibility, provide your payment plan and collect your payments.
  • Fulfillment partners and carriers. Our products ship directly from suppliers' warehouses in China. For each order, the supplier and the order-management software that passes the order to it receive the details needed to pack and ship it, including your name, shipping address, phone number and the items ordered. If you report a problem with an item, we may also send the supplier your order number and the description, photos and videos you sent us, so that it can assess the claim. They and their carriers use this information to pack, ship and track your parcel and to handle claims.
  • Return labels. If you return an item, we give your name, address and parcel details to the carrier and label service that provide the prepaid return label.
  • Our email provider, Google Workspace, handles messages sent to support@beamford.com.
  • Our phone and voicemail provider handles calls and messages to our phone number, including your phone number and any voicemail you leave.
  • Software providers. Other software that helps us run the store, such as order-management and dropshipping software and email and messaging services, can access order details, including your name, contact details, shipping address and the items ordered.
  • Advertising and analytics services, such as Google, when we use them. See "Advertising and analytics" below.
  • AI shopping assistants. Shopify can offer our products in AI shopping assistants and other agentic sales channels, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode and Gemini, Meta and Shopify's Shop app, and in others that Shopify adds. When our products are offered there, the companies that run these channels receive our product information, such as titles, descriptions, images, prices and availability, so that they can show our products to their users. If you place an order with us inside one of these channels, your order is with us, and this policy applies to it along with that company's own privacy policy. The channel has access to your order details, such as your name, email address, phone number and address, and Shopify may share your order details with it to complete your purchase, send you order updates, prevent fraud and comply with the law.
  • Others, when required. We may share information:
    • to comply with the law or a valid legal request;
    • to protect our rights or prevent fraud;
    • as part of a sale, merger or transfer of our business.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Shopify, which runs our store and checkout, also uses some information about your visits and purchases for its own purposes, including advertising for Shopify and for other stores. Its consumer privacy policy explains this at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers, and you can make choices about Shopify's use at https://privacy.shopify.com/en.

Our store has Shopify Network Intelligence turned on. With it, Shopify combines information from our store with information from other Shopify stores and from Shopify itself. It uses this to improve its products, to personalize stores and to place ads for stores and products. Shopify may also give information about your visits to its advertising and analytics partners, for example to show you more relevant ads on other websites. Some state laws may treat this as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as targeted advertising. Depending on where you live, you can opt out on our "Your Privacy Choices" page.

Information sent to China

Our suppliers and their warehouses are in China. When you order, your order and delivery details, including your name, shipping address, phone number and the items ordered, are sent to China and handled there, so that your order can be packed and shipped. If you report a problem, the photos, videos and description you send may also be sent there. Privacy laws in China are different from those in the United States. Our other service providers may also handle information outside the United States.

Marketing emails

We send marketing emails only if you sign up for them, for example through a sign-up form on our store. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email support@beamford.com and ask to unsubscribe. We act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. After you unsubscribe, we still send emails about your orders, such as order confirmations and shipping updates.

Cookies

Our store uses cookies and similar technologies set by Shopify:

  • Some are needed for the store to work, for example to keep items in your cart and to complete checkout.
  • Others collect usage information for analytics, fraud prevention and marketing.

Shopify lists these cookies at https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies. When we use Google's advertising or analytics services, Google sets cookies on our store too (see "Advertising and analytics" below). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block them, the cart and checkout may not work.

Advertising and analytics

We may show our products on Google, for example in Google Shopping, and advertise them with Google Ads. When we do, we use Google's advertising and analytics services, which may include Google Merchant Center, Google Ads and Google Analytics, connected to our store through Shopify's Google & YouTube app. While we use them:

  • Product information. Google Merchant Center receives our product listings, such as titles, prices, images and availability, so that Google can show our products. This is information about our products, not about you.
  • Your visit. Google tags on our store may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visit, including identifiers for your browser or device, your IP address, the pages and products you view, your searches on our store, the items you add to your cart, the steps of checkout you reach and the ad or website that sent you to us.
  • Your purchase. When you complete a purchase, details of it, such as the order value, the items and an order number, are sent to Google, including directly from our store's systems, so that Google can tell us which ads led to purchases.
  • Enhanced conversions, if we turn them on. When you complete a purchase, contact details you gave us at checkout, such as your email address, phone number, name and address, are also sent to Google in hashed (scrambled) form. Google uses them to match the purchase to a signed-in Google account that saw or clicked our ad.

We and Google use this information to measure how our ads perform, to understand how visitors use our store and to improve our ads. If we use remarketing, third-party vendors, including Google, may show our ads on websites and apps across the internet, and they use cookies and device identifiers to show ads based on your past visits to our store. If we use Google Analytics advertising features, such as remarketing or reports on visitors' interests and demographics, Google's first-party cookies, such as the Google Analytics cookie, and its third-party advertising cookies are used together for these purposes.

Google receives this information and also uses it for its own purposes under its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. It explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and how long it keeps information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/retention. Some state laws may treat this use of information for ads as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as targeted advertising.

Your choices:

  • Depending on where you live, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising on our "Your Privacy Choices" page, or with a Global Privacy Control signal (see "Tracking across websites and Do Not Track").
  • You can turn off personalized ads from Google, including Google's use of advertising cookies, in Google's ad settings (My Ad Center) at https://myadcenter.google.com.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • You can opt out of personalized ads from many advertising companies through the Network Advertising Initiative at https://optout.networkadvertising.org and the Digital Advertising Alliance at https://youradchoices.com/control.
  • You can block or delete cookies, or reset your device's advertising identifier, in your browser or device settings.

Opting out does not stop all ads. You may still see ads, including ours.

Tracking across websites and Do Not Track

When you use our store, Shopify may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites. When we use Google's advertising or analytics services, Google may too.

Shopify explains how it uses this information in its consumer privacy policy at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers. Google explains its use at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond to it. Our store does not change what it collects when it receives one.

In states whose laws require it, our store treats a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising. You can also make that request on our "Your Privacy Choices" page.

How long we keep information

We keep order, payment and support records for as long as we need them for three purposes:

  • to fulfill orders;
  • to handle claims, replacements and refunds;
  • to meet tax, accounting and other legal requirements.

We keep your email sign-up until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep only what we need to make sure that we do not email you again.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. We limit access to the people and services that need it. No website, email or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your information. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.

Children

Our store is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email support@beamford.com and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can email support@beamford.com, with your order number if you have one, to ask us:

  • what personal information we hold about you, and for a copy of it;
  • to correct information that is wrong; or
  • to delete your information.

If you have a customer account, you can also update your details there. We may ask you to confirm your identity, for example by writing from the email address used for your order. We may keep some information when:

  • the law requires us to keep it, such as order records needed for tax;
  • we need it to finish an open order, claim or refund.

We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Some states give their residents further privacy rights. Where such a law applies to us, we will honor the rights it gives you. If we decline a request, we will tell you why, and you can reply to ask us to reconsider.

Nevada residents can send a request not to sell their covered information to support@beamford.com. We do not sell covered information as Nevada law defines a sale.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we make a material change, we will also post a notice on our home page.

Other policies and contact

Our Terms of service, Refund policy, Shipping policy and 90-Day Limited Warranty explain how orders, deliveries, returns and claims work. Our Contact information page explains how to reach us. For any question or request about your personal information, email support@beamford.com.
